| Introductory lessons are suitable for riders 7yrs and older. We have school horses available for riders weighing up to 200lbs. Students will learn how to safely approach, halter, lead and groom their equine teacher. They will learn about the different tools used to properly groom and prepare a horse for riding. The student will then learn how to "tack" their equine partner, lead them into the arena and learn how to safely mount and then ride. The emphasis of this class is on the safe and kind handling of the horse the student will be working with and to help to properly prepare them for any riding they may do in the future. Introductory lessons are between one and a half and 2 hours long and the cost is $40. A helmet and hard soled shoes with a heel are required. Call Cris at 509-220-2800 to reserve your ride time! |
